After the first publication of the commodity association directory was released in October 2011, AFMA has been updating the list of agricultural associations in Asia and the Pacific to develop an informative directory. The directory includes all groups and associations involved in production and linkages between chain actors such as farmers, processors, distributors, exporters and suppliers of support services and inputs. For this publication, names and contacts of associations in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan (ROC), Thailand and Vietnam were listed. The second publication of 500 copies was released in 2011.
To develop an inclusive directory, AFMA is pleased to receive any updated or additional information for further improvement in this Commodity Association Directory. All contributions are highly appreciated and will be acknowledged. The directory will certainly be updated and published annually as a useful source for all marketers and producers.
